A Rainy Engagement Session in Charleston, SC

I absolutely adored Makenzie and Will’s rainy engagement session in Charleston! There’s something special about a couple willing to go with what the weather is allowing. They put their trust in me despite the rain and I’m so happy with the results! Definitely scroll to the bottom to see the beach photos!

We started out exploring the iconic Rainbow Row, before moving to a few other locations they had scouted near there. Having recently relocated to Charleston, I love that they were using their engagement as another reason to explore one of my favorite cities! I’m obsessed with Makenzie’s blue dress and how well it fit the Charleston vibe.

Next we drove over to Sullivan’s Island and that’s when the skies opened relentlessly. This is why I keep fifteen umbrellas in my car at any given time! We grabbed them and hit the beach before the sun could set and get rid of any lighting we could get through the clouds. After catching some super romantic umbrella photos, Makenzie and Will abandoned the umbrellas and embraced getting soaked. The pictures are perfect. I hope they feel like it was worth it, because I know I do!

They’ll be getting married next March at Chapel Athens. I think this is one of the best venues located in the heart of Athens!
