An Elopement in Covington, GA
Audrey & Drake’s Covington elopement was a day bursting with laughter. I’m not sure I’ve ever had this much fun during a session. When joy is contagious and the laughing never stops, you just absolutely know the pictures are going to be good!
As a wedding photographer, you know that I adore a huge wedding. Pomp and circumstance? Endless florals? Dance parties and cocktail hours? Say less, I’m in. But when I work with a couple on an elopement, I find them to be as equally special. For an event that takes far less time, it ends up being time that is an elopement’s greatest asset.
There is no pressure of a timeline or the next item on the day’s agenda. The photographs take exactly as much time as they need. There’s a patience and a creativity that allows for both the photographer and the couple to get comfortable. And once you’re comfortable, riskier shots become fun and capturable! Purposefully blurried photos require trust and time.
Trust and time also lead into more natural looking candid photos. When you’re planning out time for your portraits and pictures, whether during an elopement, engagement session, or wedding day, the more time you can give your photographer the better.
Congratulations to Audrey and Drake! I am so enthralled with how these photographs turned out and I am wishing you all the best in your marriage! Keep scrolling if you’d like to see just a few of my favorites.
