Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Wedding | Atlanta, GA

Last week I promised Grace and Austin’s wedding at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, and I try to keep all of my promises! I love when couples create a wedding day that is reflective of and unique to them. For Grace and Austin, that meant a brunch wedding! How fun is that?

I truly loved everything about Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Call me traditional, but I am an absolute sucker for a beautiful church wedding. They had a gorgeous bridal suite, manicured gardens perfect for stunning portraits, and an elegant rotunda just outside the sanctuary.

After the ceremony, we spent some time taking portraits before heading over to the Grand Hyatt Buckhead for a lunch reception. I am so excited for their future together! Congratulations again on your wedding day, Grace and Austin!

Things To Consider With A Brunch Wedding

I am all for weddings that follow every tradition under the sun. I am all for weddings that buck these traditions and blaze a new path forward. After all, there are no true rules for how your wedding has to go outside of what you want. However, when you are considering something outside the box, it’s important to have a conversation with your photographer and other vendors ahead of time before finalizing any plans.

Will there be enough time for hair and make-up? Will the caterers be able to cook and provide the food in time? How much time does the photographer need for portraits and detail shots? Do you want a first look? If so, that moves hair and make-up even earlier. How much time are you willing to ask your guests to wait while portraits are happening since there’s not a traditional cocktail hour this early in the day?

Whenever you have an idea, find the solution that makes you happiest and that your vendors can support. That’s the way to make your magical day run smoothly!
