2425 Warehouse Wedding | Monroe, GA
Amanda-Ruth and Matthew’s wedding at the 2425 Warehouse in Monroe, GA kicks off three weeks with one absolutely lovely family on the blog! The word that comes to mind when I think of this wedding is “sweet.” The balance of love, connection, family, and joy culminated in an absolutely perfect day.
I shared Amanda-Ruth and Matthew’s engagement session last fall. I wrote then that hanging out with this couple felt like hanging out with friends, so I was delighted at how that feeling continued through their wedding day.
My girl Danielle at Oakwood Lace & Co. did an excellent job of keeping the day moving. Kayla Walters also brought out every ounce of Amanda-Ruth’s inner beauty.
First Looks and Forever Memories
Amanda-Ruth shared with me all of the folks that she wanted to have first looks with. I loved how she was making time and space on her day for each and every one of them. So many special memories were created! We started with her bridesmaids. You always need that initial hype squad reaction to get the day going!
After that one, we did her father’s first look and everyone was crying. After this, she also did a first look with each grandfather. The videographer had mic’d up all three of them, so their sweet words could be captured in these moments as well.
Of course, then Amanda-Ruth and Matthew had their first look. After she turned around, they read their vows to each other and then John 13 together. After this, they took turns washing each other’s feet. This reverent tradition from Christianity really set the tone for the rest of the day. You just knew how deeply they cared for each other.
A Specialized Exit
The night ended with Amanda-Ruth and Matthew making a grand exit in matching sweat suits and custom Air Force Ones! As UGA alum, they wanted to celebrate part of their story. Matthew worked for the football program during both seasons of the back-to-back National Championships. But, more importantly, he proposed to Amanda-Ruth in Sanford Stadium!
I’ll be sharing Amanda-Ruth’s sister’s engagement session next week and her wedding the week after that! Definitely check back!

2024 Dates Are Booking Fast
For all my future brides who have been looking into my work, I did want to let you know that my 2024 dates are booking fast. I know that planning a wedding during our current economy can feel extra daunting. One thing to remember is that your photographs will be one of the longest lasting keepsakes from this day that you’ll ever have. Make sure that you connect with your chosen photographer’s portfolio. Go beyond their curated Instagram feed (follow me if you don’t) and check out their actual galleries and blogs. They are still curated, but will give you a broader scope of what they’re bringing to your table. If you see a photographer’s work that captures the magic you’re desiring for your day? Don’t settle for less.
But also don’t forget to consider how your personalities mesh, how they may interact with your bridal party and family, or your other vendors. Did they come recommended from your trusted wedding planner? Do they have good reviews from former brides and other clients? When you spoke to them, did they pay attention to the details and grasp your vision?
Of course, I do hope you’re considering me. Interested in getting your wedding onto my 2024 calendar? I’d love to chat with you, just click here to get started.
