Roswell, Georgia Engagement Session
Tess and Nick’s Roswell, Georgia engagement session is kicking off back to back weeks of highlighting this couple! That’s right, next week you’ll get to see highlights of their gorgeous Persian wedding at the Piedmont Garden Tent. But for now, check out these dreamy photos we took around their neighborhood and with their perfect dogs, Hajji and Judge! You know I love when couples include their pups!
While choosing a location for your engagement shoot, you don’t have to travel or think extravagant. The comfort and familiarity of what surrounds your everyday life is still beautiful. A dedicated photographer will work with you to find the magic anywhere you ask. The sun shines everywhere, after all, so personalize it to a location you want.
A Few Comments on Engagement Photos
When taking engagement photos, it is important to remember that there are no rules. I met up with Tess and Nick for this shoot just one month out from their wedding. While most people prioritize taking engagement photos early in the planning process for Save the Dates, this is not necessary! I think the most important benefit of an engagement session is getting the couple and the photographer used to each other’s rhythms. Removing any camera anxiety before such a photographed day as the wedding will go a long way in making memorable pictures shine even brighter.
A pro-tip I want to mention for photographing dogs is that you definitely need extra hands with people they are already comfortable with. These friends or family members will hold the leashes during photos where the dogs aren’t included. They will flash treats and call their names to keep their attention on the camera. If the session is going long, they can also return them home while the photographer and the couple change locations.
So, here are Tess and Nick’s gorgeous engagement session photos. Come back next week to check out their exceptional outdoor wedding! They worked with one of my favorite planners, Luxe Atlanta Events, and my favorite videographer (we are related, after all!), Evan Reece Media.
