Lake Oconee Estate Wedding | Eatonton, GA

Kristi and Brandon’s private estate wedding at an estate on the shore of Lake Oconee was a stunner start to finish! I love when people make their weddings their own. Who says you can’t break traditional norms and still have something stellar?

Erica at Blush and Bashful planned an absolutely beautiful wedding for this couple. Their vision was all of their closest family and friends staying in the same lake house over a long weekend celebrating their nuptials. It took all the stress that typically surrounds a wedding and alleviated it. This was a weekend lake retreat, full exhale.

Hallie Jane’s catered the event and they instantly shot to the top of my preferred wedding vendors. Their team was super helpful, especially when the reception dinner had to be moved indoors due to the threat of rain. And the food? Excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of reception food, and theirs wouldn’t be one I would skip in favor of a drive thru on the way home.

I Love Lake Oconee

If I’m not capturing a wedding on a weekend in the summer, my husband, kids, and I are probably on Lake Oconee in our boat. We have our favorite coves for floating, our favorite tubing spots, our favorite cruising spots. Having grown up in this area, I have decades of memories on this lake. All of this cumulates in special moments when I get to come here with my brides and grooms.
