Atlanta Athletic Club Wedding | John’s Creek, GA
Brooke and JT’s wedding at the Atlanta Athletic Club was full of surprises! I love when family members pull off surprises that deepen the meaning of the day. This family did such an amazing job!
The first surprise of the day is that this is probably the coldest wedding I’ve ever captured. But you make do with what you have to do on your wedding day and everyone was an absolute trooper and I think the final product is perfect!
Brooke and JT didn’t do a first look, but Brooke did do one with her brothers. This began a litany of sweet, family-first moments and surprises, including:
Her brother officiated the wedding. As someone who has always believed in the Naley of it all, when you he weaved in one of my favorite *One Tree Hill* quotes, I couldn’t control the tears! “It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re seventeen and planning for someday, and then quietly, without you ever really noticing, someday is today, and that someday is yesterday and this is your life.” Instantly shot to the top of my favorite moments I’ve witnessed list.
Their dog, Sport, came dressed to impressed for some photos after the ceremony. Obsessed.
Brooke’s parents got married at the same venue. After their first dance and parent dances, JT and Brooke gave a welcome speech. They ended it by inviting her parents out to recreate their first dance. I mean, come on it was perfect.
But Brooke’s mom also had a surprise for her! A champagne tower! Those pictures are some of my favorite from the evening of so many good moments.
A Shoutout for My Fellow Vendors
This vendor team was an absolute dream and I love what they pulled off for Brooke. Lindsey Wise, who I’ve cherished working with before, absolute nailed the bride’s vision. Brushworx absolutely illuminated with make-up and hair. Chelsea at Luxe and Bloom nailed the floral design. Rachel at RL Creative Co made custom stationery that I’m obsessed with. And the cake was an absolute showstopper by (not so) Small Cakes Woodstock. You meet a lot of amazing people in this industry and it’s always an honor to help capture their work in a bride and groom’s photos.
Of course, I would be remiss to not mention one more vendor: Big Bling and the Funk Machine. One of the most fun reception bands ever! Their crowd work and energy kept the dance floor flowing all the way to the end!
I hope you scroll to the bottom to check out all of our work and enjoy some of my favorites from this day!
