I did a poll on my instagram stories a few weeks ago and asked brides “what has been the hardest thing about wedding planning (besides Covid, because that’s a given)?” And the overwhelming answer was: creating and sticking to a budget!

We got the kids a puppy for Christmas!! That’s what we say anyway, but really, we got her for us too 😉

Dolly (after Dolly Parton!) is a black labradoodle, so she is equal parts sweet, playful, clumsy and smart. We’re all smitten with her! So thankful to have her as part of the family.

To every mom who has gotten upset with their children for not behaving for a photo session… I get you.

Even though I’m a photographer, I barely have any professional photos of my kids. It’s like that old saying “the cobbler’s children have no shoes,” but it’s not exactly my fault.

Haley and Brian really wanted pretty fall foliage for their engagement photos and Lake Herrick did not disappoint!! The walking trails and the lake were simply stunning! Then, we headed over to North Campus since they’re both UGA alums!

Alexis and Sean hired me long before we even suspected we would be living in a pandemic. As news of the pandemic became real and started to threaten their June 2020 wedding in Cincinnati, Alexis communicated with me often about different options they were weighing.

Joshua and Mary Trent both attend UGA and they got engaged on North Campus, so when we were planning for their engagement session, choosing North Campus as our location was a no brainer! These two are just precious and I cannot wait for their wedding in May 2021!

In July 2020, we packed up our little camper and headed down to a lovely little campground in St. Petersburg, Florida. Fort DeSoto is actually really difficult to get into and reservations have to be made exactly 6 months from your expected arrival date.
