A Small Town Affair

Amanda-Ruth and Matthew’s downtown Madison engagement session was so sweet. If you can’t tell from the photos, Amanda-Ruth and Matthew are so precious and kind. We started out in downtown Madison, which is so quaint and cute. Then, we headed to my house to use my field as our second spot. Amanda-Ruth really wanted photos in a field, so I knew the one at my house would be perfect. Clearly I’m biased 😉

Something About An Engagement Session in a Field

In all seriousness, I love doing engagement sessions in a field. With the neutral tones, Amanda-Ruth and Matthew really popped. The photos turned out great, and I love the difference of the downtown photos to the field. I think they’re a great representation of Amanda-Ruth and Matthew. I loved getting to see Amanda-Ruth and Matthew’s personalities shine. One of my favorite parts about engagement shoots is getting to know the couple before their wedding. I want all of my couples to feel comfortable and at ease on their wedding day. So learning their personalities and how to make them comfortable is everything to me. One of the most important aspects, to me, is the relationship between my clients and I. Being able to have natural banter is key! Hanging out with Amanda-Ruth and Matthew was like hanging out with friends. That’s when you know you have the best couples!

Amanda-Ruth and Matthew are set to get married in May in Monroe. I know their day is going to be filled with lots of love as they’re surrounded by friends and family. Trust me when I tell you, it’s going to be a PARTY. I can’t wait to celebrate with Amanda-Ruth, Matthew and all of their friends and family!
