The Farm at High Shoals Wedding

Lauren and Harrison’s wedding let me return to one of my favorite venues in all of Georgia: The Farm at High Shoals just outside of Athens in Bishop, Georgia. Working alongside one of my favorite wedding planners, Lindsey Wise, the couple shared their vision for every little detail and Lindsey definitely delivered! As I moved around the stunning venue taking photographs, I was blown away by the level of intricacy and care in every aspect of the design. Every aspect of the day, from getting ready and portraits at the Villa to the ceremony in the vineyard and on into the cocktail hour and reception at the stables, made this wedding into the definition of a showstopper.

The Star of the Show

You may think the bride and the groom would be the star of such an occasion, but at this special wedding, it was actually their beloved dog Buck. This handsome old guy was featured on the welcome boxes and bar menu, as well as being in the bridal party. He donned his doggie tuxedo and laid down at the feet of the groomsmen. Of course, he knew when to celebrate and jumped to his feet to cheer on Lauren and Harrison’s first kiss as husband and wife! Nothing adds more joy to a wedding than a happy dog!

Unfortunately, Buck passed away exactly one week after the wedding. It is an honor to have captured such sweet memories for the bride and groom and their dog. I know they miss him very much, but we are all very thankful that he was there at the Farm at High Shoals that day.
