The State Botanical Garden of Georgia Engagement Session
Kaitlyn and Dillon’s engagement session at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia is today’s featured blog. This is one of my favorite free session locations in Athens! A well-manicured garden or park always provided elegant, natural backdrops that enhance any session together. One of my favorite sections for photographing couples is the rose garden. You know I’m obsessed with timeless and classic, of which roses are the epitome in the floral world.
Both Kaitlyn and Dillon are UGA grads, so we also had to incorporate a bit of the University of Georgia North Campus to allow for all of their memories to coalesce. If your alma mater plays a part in your story, why not include it? Especially when the architecture of the North Campus is particularly stunning. My favorite spot is Herty Field, the original football field before they built Sanford Stadium. You also can’t ever go wrong with the classic chapel columns.
However, my favorite photo from this session is where we stepped into the median on Broad Street. When a photograph is able to capture movement within a story and convey a specific emotion? It’s the feeling I crave all day long when I am working a session with my clients.
Kaitlyn and Dillon are getting married at the Chapel Athens in 2024. But, I’ll get to see them before then at Ashley and Andrew‘s wedding as they’re in the wedding party. I love getting to see all of my brides and grooms multiple times! Also lets me get even more ideas for their big days.
Check out some of my favorites from their session below!
