Barrington Hall Engagement Session
Today I’m bringing you Alyssa and Josh’s Barrington Hall engagement session. This historic house is right in the heart of downtown Roswell. I love the pop of color that the teal shutters add to the photos. We wandered the gardens around the house, enjoying the beautiful fall weather and the late blooming flowers. I’ve shot a wedding at another historic house in Roswell, Ivy Hall, and I’m starting to love all these homes. Almost as much as I love my couples!
Afterwards, we crossed the street to the historic Roswell Mill. Local green spaces and historic parks are always excellent locations for an engagement session, especially in the spring and fall when the colors are most vibrant! A question that I often receive is what color to wear during an engagement session in the fall. Alyssa and Josh illustrate my answer perfectly. I always recommend wearing neutrals which allows you to stand out against the natural colors in the backdrop.
Our final location was the Roswell Town Square, the site where Josh proposed to Alyssa! The fountain is a very special location to their story. When I processed both the golden hour and black and white photos there, I was blown away by how much the camera captured of their emotions. You can see the joy and love on full display at they lived out the next step of their first major moment in this park. If you haven’t considered your engagement location as a potential spot for your session, scroll to the bottom of this post and see why you must!
Alyssa and Josh will be getting married at the end of May at the Country Club of the South. I am looking forward to working with both Soiree South (Design) and Kayla Walters (Hair and Makeup) on this magical day! Check back later this summer to see more of this gorgeous couple!
