Engagement Session in Piedmont Park
Kelsi and Sam’s engagement session in Piedmont Park sees me back in one of my favorite locations in Atlanta! This session took place during a busy evening with excellent weather, so we had to get creative! Kelsi and Sam are friends with one of my past couples, McKenzie and Cameron, so it was fun to be able to get together and connect.
When working in public green spaces, you always have to stay on your toes and keep your eyes open. I love some of the nooks and crannies of the park that we stumbled upon. And, when all else fails, a little bit of Photoshop removal of background people never hurt anybody.
One of the things that I adored about this session was the inclusion of champagne. In many ways, an engagement session is a toast to specific time in your life… so why not toast to it, as well? I’ve had other couples also use champagne in their photos, if you’re curious how you might be able to incorporate it or something similar into your picture wish list. I could see really cool ideas coming out of a shared love of whiskey, ice cream, or even popcorn. Never be afraid to get creative!
Kelsi did something that I think all brides should consider for their engagement session: bring comfy shoes for between locations. We all know that stilettoes and heels aren’t always made for the flower fields or the green grasses of our dream locations. She had her favorite pair of UGG slippers and it really made the whole event more comfortable.
