Hadden Estate Wedding | Watkinsville, Georgia

Gracie and Luke’s wedding at the Hadden Estate in Watkinsville, Georgia had two of my favorite things: cowboy hats and a dog! There is something deeply nostalgic for the country life I grew up when I see cowboy hats and I love how they were incorporated into their wedding attire. Of course, any dog will always attempt to steal the show!

Hadden Estate is a venue where I’ve captured weddings before, but I especially loved this time returning to the site of Gracie and Luke’s engagement session. It felt like we were drawing everything full circle. Gracie is one of my sweetest brides yet and being a part of her and Luke’s journey just absolutely warmed my heart!

An example of Gracie’s sweetness? She surprised her sister with a dance. As the oldest sibling with two younger siblings, it struck me right in the heart! And the song being Taylor Edwards’ “Call Your Sister” about brought me to tears. And one of my sisters was capturing the wedding alongside me!

Your Vendors Matter

Danielle at Oakwood Lace & Co. was her planner and florist. You already know how much I adore working with her. Her work, especially at Hadden Estate which is one of her favorite venues, continuously blows me away. Olivia Martin did such a great job with Gracie’s hair and make-up. The videographer, Kaylee Murphy, made working together to capture these memories an absolute dream. She was a bridesmaid from a previous wedding, which was also a lot of fun!

All of that to say: choosing your vendors is a vital portion of your day. Listen to who the ones you trust like working with. We see each other in different venues, family and faith traditions, cultural ideas, and seasons. The more we work in this industry, the more we know who can deliver for their brides. The more we love how much our brides trust us to help tell their story.
