The Georgia Club Wedding | Statham, GA

Caroline and Riley’s wedding at The Georgia Club was a wedding detailed to perfection! There’s something I love about a color scheme reminiscent of a coastal estate that Caroline’s choices absolutely nailed down. Between elegant white flowers and bountiful touches of blue, this was a timeless event!

I’ve been lucky enough to have multiple sessions with this couple. I’ve known Caroline and her family for quite some time, but over the last few years as we prepared for and captured her wedding, I feel like I’ve truly come to cherish how sweet her soul really is. I’m still obsessed with their engagement session. Seriously, look at those flower field shots! One thing that I am so grateful that I got to do with Caroline is a bridal portrait session. Not only did this allow her to do a test run of the dress, hair, and make-up, but it got both of us acquainted with the venue.

The Georgia Club’s bridal suite is perfect for photos. Attached to it is a huge porch, which allows for incredible lighting and also shade. Those summer weddings sure do get hot from time to time!

Curate Your Day

Caroline’s eye for detail was everywhere. Her gown was absolutely flawless. The silhouettes and color she chose for her bridesmaids were classy. A painted bottle of champagne. So many different things around the ceremony. I was absolutely obsessed.

One thing that I thought was especially beautiful was their first look. During this time, they read to each other special vows that they kept private between them. I love this! There are so many things about wedding days that are private and yet on full display. I love when couples find ways to have moments just for them during their wedding day.

I’ve written about burying the bourbon before, and you can take it or leave it on whether or not you believe it works … but it literally started to rain five minutes after we dug the bourbon out of the ground. That’s all I’ll say about that.
