Hadden Estate at DGD Farms Wedding | Watkinsville, GA

Kelsey & Chris’s intimate wedding at the Hadden Estate was one of those days that resonates emotionally. It was truly special. As you know, Danielle at Oakwood Lace and Co. and now at Hadden, is a longtime friend and contributor for many of my brides. So you know I was ecstatic to see what she would pull together for her cousin!

One of the things that made this day so beautiful, yet also difficult, is that they got married on what would have been Kelsey’s late mother’s birthday. Of course, they honored her memory with a beautiful bouquet in her chair and at the memory table, but in honestly felt like a celebration of her memory to choose such a big date as well. Maybe I’m just a sap, but I thought it was perfect.

This wedding was smaller than many I’ve captured at Hadden, so I loved seeing all the unique ways the venue could be shifted so versatilely. Having the ceremony in the blueberry field and the reception in the Oak Room was just so perfect. I love every time we get to come here.

The blueberry fields are really the star of the show in the spring. I loved doing all of the portraits out in them!
