Jacqueline and Luke’s double location engagement session around Alpharetta proved that variety is a photographer’s dream! Not only did Jacqueline come forward with a particular set of ideas, she trusted in me to help bring them to life.

Madison and Chris met up with me recently in Piedmont Park for their engagement session. It’s an obvious Atlanta classic, but I feel like we managed to capture some of the best lighting I’ve had at this iconic venue.

In this case, we explored around Hope’s parents’ home and neighborhood in the absolute most gorgeous lighting.

We headed out to Little River Farms for Kristen and Ryan’s engagement session because they’re also getting married there in March! I personally find doing the engagement session at the venue location to be exciting for the bride and groom and helpful for me. I love watching their faces as the excitement grows. “That’s where we’ll be getting married!” “Our reception will be over there.” The energy is infectious!

I wanted to highlight Grace and Austin’s Midtown Atlanta engagement session in Piedmont Park today. Lately, trends seem to be skewing towards dramatic skyscraper skylines or extremely nature focused. Of course, Atlanta’s Piedmont Park offers both. It’s why it’s a classic!

I met up with Rachael and Mike for their engagement session in an Atlanta classic: Piedmont Park. Throughout my many years of working in the Atlanta region, I’ve gotten to experience this park on every day of the week, in every weather, in every season, and at every time of day. It always has something to offer between new locations to discover and some of my tried and true favorites.

Kelly and David’s engagement session at the Mill Creek Pond in Alpharetta was a spring dream. And not just because their precious pups kept stealing the show! We chose this venue because it’s a hidden gem and didn’t want to fight the crowds. The mixture of the greenery, the columns, and the stone arch bridge over the pond created an enchanted atmosphere that I just love!

Naz and Jose’s engagement session in Piedmont Park was absolutely full of joy. The sun was shining, the midtown Atlanta skyline was stunning, and their sweetness just comes through every single picture. Piedmont Park is an iconic location in Atlanta, but I love how every couple seems to make it their own.

Kristen & Brooks had their engagement session at The Duck Pond in Atlanta! I have always wanted to photograph a session here, so I was quite excited for this one. The Duck Pond is right around the corner from Brooks’ house, so the couple has spent many hours here. It’s so beautiful, who could blame them?

Caroline and I met up about six weeks out from her wedding for this session at their venue. While wedding days are genuinely important days, a lot of moments can get lost in the schedule and hectic nature of the day. Having this time set aside to capture Caroline’s beauty outside of the stress of the Big Day? I think the photos speak for themselves in how important this can be. She was stunning.

Kelsi and Sam’s engagement session in Piedmont Park sees me back in one of my favorite locations in Atlanta! This session took place during a busy evening with excellent weather, so we had to get creative!

Ashley and Andrew’s engagement session at Painted Horse Winery highlighted one of my favorite things about couples: when they’re thinking outside the box! Not only was it a unique location, it was stunning and extremely fun. If you and your significant other have a special restaurant or location, don’t be afraid to ask the business owners if you can stage a photoshoot there. Look how good it turned out for Ashley and Andrew!

I’m posting Maura and Max’s Piedmont Park engagement session today because we are less than a month away from their wedding! One thing to consider with engagement sessions, especially in popular locations in cities as large as Atlanta, is how crowded they will be at the time of the photoshoot. Maura, Max, and I hit The Beltline and Piedmont Park early in the morning to try and negate this issue.

I love engagement sessions so much! It’s such a great time to get to know my couples and for them to get comfortable in front of the camera. One of the most common questions I get about engagement sessions has to do with locations. I’m always happy to give recommendations, but…

Emma and Victor are such a sweet and fun couple to hang out with! When I first talked to Emma on the phone, I was blown away by how much we had in common–we definitely had a connection from the start and I’m so thrilled that I get to photograph their wedding.
