Wedding Reception at Chapel Athens
Makenzie and Will’s wedding reception at Chapel Athens brought us back to one of my favorite local venues. After we made the best of a rainy engagement session in Charleston, I was ecstatic that they were given such a gloriously sunny wedding day!
This wedding included a list of some of my personal favorites: getting ready at Hotel Indigo (some of the best lighting in town), portraits at UGA’s North Campus (if you know, you know), and the incredible team at Bristle and Bride!
The ceremony itself took place at Milledge Avenue Baptist, or the pumpkin patch church for my fellow locals. We are obsessed with how great the lighting was in there!
Delicious Details
Makenzie and Will’s big day was full of wonderful little detail decisions that completely made the day theirs. Makenzie’s Maid of Honor, Lizzy Sutton Studio, designed all of the stationery and paper goods. Her floral work created an absolutely beautiful, cohesive set from the invitations to the table markers at the reception.
The cake topper (I am loving this vintage cake trend, by the way) was from Will’s grandparents’ wedding!
And maybe one of my favorite details is that they rented the Athens Trolley for the day. Not only did this help with all of the different stops, but it made for some excellent pictures that I am obsessed with.
Check out some of my favorites from this beautiful day below!
