Hadden Estate at Damn Good Dawg Farms Wedding | Watkinsville, GA
Marie and Aaron’s wedding at the Hadden Estate at Damn Good Dawg Farms was the perfect way to kick off my summer wedding season! Despite all the emotions and stress that accompany wedding days, the group around them were really fun and sweet. Not only did it make their day easier and more memorable, it helped me capture the moments along the way.
There’s nothing I love more than a timeless wedding. Classic styles, age-old traditions, elegance… they’ve stood the tests of time for a reason. Marie and Aaron’s wedding and reception checked all of those boxes.
Marie and Aaron elected to do a first look, which really opened up their post-ceremony timing and allowed for some rest. When you are scheduling our your wedding day with your planner, think about the importance of rest and taking time to be in the moment. Together. This is your day, so make sure to be present in it.
The Vendors You Choose Matter
I got to work alongside one of my favorite: Danielle at Oakwood Lace & Co! Her planning management and floral work are just a dream to work inside of and photograph. Marie’s dream was a floral palette of bright colors to celebrate the newness of spring and the beginning of their married life together. Danielle delivered flawlessly! Just look at those bouquets, balancing the classic white roses with absolutely brilliant bursts of color.
I’ve worked with her multiple times during this wedding season alone. When I find out Danielle is there, I know exactly what I’m in for. Most importantly, I know the bride won’t be stressing about the details. A stress-free bride is a happy bride. The best advice I can give is to choose vendors who can execute your vision and then trust them to deliver. We are here for you.
The Hadden Estate at Damn Good Dawgs Farm
This is my first of two weddings here this summer season and I am so excited that I get to return here. The Hadden Estate is one of my favorite venues. Last year, I photographed another wedding here and when I look at the pictures of both events, it almost feels like a different venue. When it comes to choosing a venue, it’s hard to overstate how important versatile venues are! I also love that it’s an active blueberry farm where you can pick your own blueberries in the summer. Located just outside of Athens in Watkinsville, it’s a venue that works for couples in both the Atlanta and Athens areas.
The ceremony lawn at Hadden Estate is one of my favorites that I’ve worked at. It’s designed and situated perfectly for a ceremony: for the bridal party, for the photographers, and for the attendees.
