A Charleston, SC Engagement Session | Charleston, SC
We are back with our super fun 7/11 couple, Shea and Evan, for their Charleston engagement session! When I heard that Shea has a soft spot for Charleston, I immediately proposed a day trip to the low country! Not only did I get to spend some time in one of my favorite places, Shea and Evan made a whole romantic getaway out of it! This is exactly why I love engagement sessions: it grounds you in the moment you’re currently living and prepares you for the moment you’re building towards. It’s the best!
We started out in Hampton Park with a Charleston classic: mossy trees. Shea had a vision of what she wanted these photos to look like and this location was stunningly perfect to match it. Throw in the perfect luck of the azaleas being in bloom and it felt like the recipe for something special! Definitely one of my new favorite locations to capture moments, and we didn’t even cover a fourth of the park! (Want a Charleston engagement session? Let’s go explore more of the park together.)
Of course, we couldn’t do a true Charleston session without heading downtown. After parking at the Battery, we then began a dreamy golden hour exploration of the city from East Bay Street to Rainbow Row and back to the Sea Wall. One thing photographers love is variety, and when you squeeze in White Point Gardens, the historical homes, the cobblestone streets, the horse drawn carriages… you can’t ask for more!
Looking Forward
Let’s pray that the perfect weather we were blessed with during this session carry over to their wedding! We’ll be going to one of our foundation venues, Hadden Estate, and working with Danielle at Oakwood Lace & Co., so we know it’s simply going to be stunning.
It was so hard to choose which of these to give you a little sneak peek of. Let me know your favorites!
